Casa dei Limoni hangs from the Positano cliffside like a balcony over the Tyrrhenian. You reach it down a stair scented with lemons — the trees belong to the house, and in season you are welcome to pick your own.
Inside, whitewashed vaults, hand-painted maiolica tiles and linen curtains that move with the sea breeze. The veranda is the heart of the house: breakfast arrives with the sound of church bells, dinner with the lights of the fishing boats.
The beach at Marina Grande is an eight-minute walk down; the bus back up stops fifty metres from the door. Our host arranges boat days to Capri and Li Galli, table reservations, and luggage porterage from the road — essential in Positano.
