Trullo degli Ulivi is a small constellation of cone-roofed trulli, restored stone by stone and set in a grove of five-hundred-year-old olives. The walls are a metre thick; the silence is complete except for cicadas.
Days here are simple: swim in the pool cut into the limestone terrace, eat burrata and tomatoes under the pergola, cycle the lane to a masseria for wine. At night the cones glow from within and the sky over the valley fills with stars.
Ostuni is ten minutes away, the beaches of Torre Guaceto fifteen. Our host stocks the kitchen before you arrive, and can book a pizzaiolo evening in the outdoor wood oven.
